The Marikina Science High School (), known as MSHS or MariSci, is a Philippine public science high school (a high school using the ''Special Science Curriculum'') located at Mayor Juan Chanyungco Street, Sta. Elena, Marikina City. It is an offshoot of the Marikina Institute of Science and Technology which split up on November 9, 2001. The school's motto is "Discipline, Good Taste and Excellence". The current principal is Mr. Alberto D. Villamor, who assumed the position on August 22, 2014. ==History==
In 1947, the Marikina High School was established to give a jump start to education in the town of Marikina under the administration of Gil Fernando (regarded as the Father of Secondary Education in Marikina) together with Mr. Tomas L. Santos after World War II to recognize his integrity, eloquence and learning for the rehabilitation of schools.〔(MARIKINA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE History )〕 In 1952, it changed its name to the Leodegario Victorino Memorial High School (LVMHS) in honor of Leodegario Victorino, former councilor of Marikina (when it was still a town of Rizal), Marikina School of Arts and Trades (MSAT) in 1957 and Marikina Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in 1978. This is where Marikina Science High School was formed. On November 8, 2001, the MSHS system broke from Marikina Institute of Science and Technology (formerly MSHS is known as MIST secondary level). By the power of Republic Act 9289, MIST's college sector was renamed as Marikina Polytechnic College (MPC).〔(Zamboanga.com: Marikina Science High School )〕
